Here you have a AFF Level 1 situation of a bad pilot chute throw when pulling it to open your canopy. See the sequence and the immediate reaction of our AFF Instructor to release the entangled pilotchute and save the student from a serious malfunction.

Although such situations may happen, we insist on the thorough pull exercise repetitions many times on the ground. Boring? Not really when you see this video.
