Not everyone feels ready to jump solo on an AFF course from day one. Sometimes it’s stress, sometimes being over 55, sometimes a health limitation or just a very real mental block. At the same time, a classic “tourist tandem” feels like it’s just not enough. But you don’t want to be only a passenger. You’d like to understand more, feel more, learn more – the skydiver way.
That’s exactly why we created Tandem INTRO. It’s a modern first step into skydiving: more than a standard tandem, not yet a full AFF course.
Who is Tandem INTRO for?
Tandem INTRO is ideal if:
- you don’t feel ready to exit the airplane and land on your own,
- your age or health makes a full AFF course difficult or not recommended,
- you feel a strong mental block, but there is still that small voice inside saying: “Come on, this is YOUR thing…”,
- but you feel that a typical “tourist tandem ride” is simply below your ambition 😉
What makes Tandem INTRO different and Why?
This is a technical tandem jump – a training-focused tandem. In which you are not a random passenger. You are a student.
With Tandem INTRO you get:
- you listen to radio guidance on final approach and landing.
- a full ground briefing, similar to our First Jump Course (AFF FJC),
- an introduction to equipment, safety and emergency procedures,
- a technical tandem jump from full altitude, with an altimeter,
- active altitude awareness – you read the altimeter and react,
- practice of a stable body position, just like in AFF,
- canopy flight – you feel how the parachute turns and flies,
- observe air traffic and landing pattern,
However, your instructor stays fully in control of the skydive. You learn and understand everything consciously. You also experience everything actively and purposefully, not just “hang in the harness and smile to the camera guy”.
Why did we introduce Tandem INTRO?
We keep seeing two types of people:
- Those for whom jumping solo on AFF is simply too big a step at the beginning,
- And those for whom a classic tandem is too touristy and not meaningful enough.
Tandem INTRO is the bridge between these two worlds. It lets you enter the sport seriously, in a format that respects your current physical and mental limits.
What happens after Tandem INTRO?
After landing we do a short debriefing. Together we look at what you felt, what you remember, and how your body and mind reacted. If you decide that skydiving really is your thing, you can:
- continue with our First Jump Course (AFF FJC) or go AFF Course.
- or treat Tandem INTRO as a once-in-a-lifetime, fully conscious experience and stop there.
No pressure. No hard selling. Your jump. Your pace. Your decision.
